Tiruvannamalai (Mar 31 2007 - April 1 -2007 )
Last year same time I was on the trip to Muttathi first trip with collegues. I still remember it fresh since i remember the famous joke cracked on that day.. It goes as -" April 1 is the best day to tell the girl that you love her.. if she accepts it then you won her .. if she gets angry.. tell her you tried to fool her.. " ..
At same point I was willing to go somewhere for long as this months quota of trip was pending. This month i did not travel anywhere. This was bugging me for some time. Finally while chatting at home Ganesh suddenly said next weekend he will be in Tiruvannamalai as no one will be at home. I have planned to go to chennai, other roomie is going tirunelveli. Suddenly idea flashed in my mind, I asked why not we go and come back this weekend.. For this ganesh as well got induced and said OK. thats it.. We then decided that we will leave home by 3.00 pm. As usual guys cannot be On time we left home by aroung 3.30 pm. We had just packed bottles of water and then started our journey. Suddenly we remembered that In Tamil Nadu its a bandh. So filled our Petrol tank in Bangalore and started our trip.
In the Border of TamilNadu there was a huge traffice Jam. The Police were not allowing any Heavy vehicles to enter Tamil Nadu, We silded through the Traffic and entered Tamil Nadu. The roads were empty, this made our ride Joy ride.. We were touching constantly 100. The route we took was Bangalore --> Krishnagiri -> Tiruvannamalai. The Route between Krishnagiri and Tiruvannamalai is bit OK, with lots of pit holes.The total drive took us more than four hours, and this was the first time i am driving more than 100 kms in Dark( Never tried Driving in Dark ) .. well it was little scary as the Bus drivers in opposite direction just put the beam into eyes and for few secounds i get blind folded.
