RCB - Struggling team and a clueless Leader
This season has been disappointing the most, then in the past. Every year the disappointment just increases by a factor. A lot of questions arising on the Leadership of RCB. I am a fan of Kholi, after Sachin and Dhoni. To me, Kholi can lead a team where everyone is brilliant( Like Team India ) where individuals are performing at best of best. When he is part of a mediocre team, then it starts falling apart. He uses the same style of leadership for all situations.
Some time back, I remember reading Situational Leadership ( Ken Blanchard ) where he clearly says that Same leadership style does not work with all. One needs to adopt the style based on the team member maturity on doing the task. A leader needs to keep his eyes on winning and using different styles for different people in Team. In my view, Kohli also needs to use different styles.
In the other match where one can clearly see Dhoni schooling Deepak Chahar, Well the respect for the senior was visible in the eyes of Deepak Chahar. The result was visible, the youngster bowled the next deliveries well.
I am not sure if there is going to be a change in leadership styles or a change in Leader is going to be an inevitable one.
