Transcendental journey begins

When I first started reading Bhagavad gita, I got a book which has the Sanskrit and its word to word meaning. When reading those lines i found that there are lot of words which we use in day today life are from sanskrit. One thing i did not understand is how the words are devided, In sanskrit the word is big long but when read it is devided into three or four words and each has a different meaning. Secondly I should have got hindi translation than english translation, since the words formations in sanskrit and hindi are similar.

Few things to take it from the chapters i have read till now -->

- We all are temporary in this world, Soul takes one body, and leaves it when it is useless and then takes new one.

- Victory or Loss are to be treated equally.

- In this world the body travels with help of mind and senses, the body is  like a cart where mind/intelligence is the driver and the horses are the senses. The journey can be pleasant or painful depending on the senses and the mind.

- Doing one's duty badly is acceptable than doing other duties perfectly - its dangerous. Everyone has a purpose in this world, if a shatriya is doing the work of a priest, would be is dangerous for his life.

Lot more, but these i felt like sharing. :)
