27th Dec 2006 Dalhousie --> KALATOP

Dalhousie Morning Pack up -->

Early morning got up with a whistle, for the TEA.. I gulpped two teas for Natures call.. Well I had experience the previous day of waiting in long queues.. so i finished it early... ( In place u need to be early or late.. thats way i try to avoid long queues.. ) .. After that It was morning Break fast time.. ;-) all set for the break fast. I was eating my breakfast.. while Rashmi was moving the window curtain in the Dinning room and what i saw was really amazing .. It was the Snow on the mountain peak with sun glowing on top of it to make is look as if it was a Himalyan beauty and the Light following on her WAY .. It was really mind blowing.. .. It rushed to the secound floor and went to see it from top.. Then ppl gathered and then what else .. photo session ..

Once this Photo session was over We were made to pack our lunch. then asked to assemble in the Ground with Rucksack. all done.. then the SBI Manager did the flag off .. All started walking. After this it was just walk walk walk..

On way we had to walk on steep paths.. That was really cool.. some times i felt i was healthy ... i could easyly walk and get back my breath in minutes.. some local children would run and cross as if we were just crawling.. so fast that was little demotivaing.. I always say to my self .. It happens .. Practice make man perfect .. and Jawa u need more practice to go in that speed.. I really felt lot better when i was walking in the Jammu / Kathra --> vaisno devi few days later.

My self Siva , Prashanth , All walking alongside.. ( on the Water lines.. ) the day first two hours we were walking on the Water pipes.. that way was made for water pipe line.. and one it stopped we need to entre army area.. WE had to jump / cross fence to enter the pump house. that was great.. Three ppl jumped the Gate .. Siva, Myself and Saravanan.. ( check in links Photos.. ) .. there rested for ppl to come.. We left last from there.. Then entered the pump house.. THis is the place we had first siting of snow.( frozen plants.. ) .. There was water flowing and because of mild breeze it was spraying around.. And the climate made it frozen .. this was soo beautiful .. Hope others noticed as well.

Once we passed pump house.. We had to climb up.. little steep though .. all going like a Narrow guage .. Express all lined up.. so my self siva and prashant took shortcuts.. ;-) that was great.. we reached top.. faster .. as usual.. I was always amazed by Siva's fitness.. he is great .. there is always a room of improvement in everyons life.. ( these are small excuses i make to keep up my mind.. ) .. I will work out on this as well.

We had to walk on roads next.. The middle we had to walk on snow on road.. It had been formed because of snow fall and breakage of water pipe.. It was damn slippery .. I was abut to fall 2 to 3 times to to ppl around who always gave hands to lift up.. ;-) .. We reached the Place for lunch.. It was place where Sun was shining on the hill and there ws a valley where there was snow .. filled houses.. it was a great place to watch.. It would become cold once the sun would hide behind the clounds.. I really enjoyed this mixture.. of cold and sunny weather.. ( temperature swing.. ) Then what else then a photo session.., after that ppl were taking with costumes of Himachal dress.. ( Girls looked cool .. ) ..

WALK and Talk -->

Talked with more people around. Got intorduced to NAGA. I always found him to be soo cool and shameless like me.. i felt he too had the habit of making fun of self .. that what i liked in him.. totally cool ;-)

Then Rashmi, another interesting personality i got inytoduced to .. May be she didn't know that the guys there were argumentative type .. (We can discuss for or againist just for Sake of discussion and killing time ) .. She started the linguistic problem .. May be i would have thrown the topic .. ;=) i know readers would agree that U can never argue with a girl .. mine was also the same i can never convince by saying that not all r like that .. ppl love to learn language .. Its life Coffee . Toffee.. ( the Argument always continues .. no end to it ) . To put an end we reached Kala top camp.

CAMP JOKE -->

Time was around 4.30 .pm. On reaching there we all were talking and then the camp leader said we need to wait for group leader. We waited.. Once he came we were asked to Stand in Six rows.. ;-) ( I again started .. Its Columns not rows.. Its just pathetic dicussion and we still were discussing.. ) .. Then he said we came here late .. It was suppose to reach here by 4.00 ..pm.. He was little harsh .. ;-) The last sentence was that " I am a software engineer.. " .. This made us all laugh..

TALK OF THE CAMP -->

With just one Dailog he became the talk of the camp.. and every one was discussing only abt him .. Guy u became famous just with a dailog .. ( Sarukh will be looking for ur dailog as well ) .. We started cracking .. may be he never worked .. or he is ancient .. Does ever S/w engineer meets deadline..?? Day went on fine.. some talked about protesting by not eating.. On hearing this i got shock.. I was already hungry even after having heavy meal in the afternoon.. I said to my self it is really a tough situation today.. well Other than KK and few others all had Dinner.. ( mee too.. hogged.. ) then after that We had a good camp fire .. ;-) only few .. where the guide was singing songs and Nilesh, Rashmi , Revathi and Saravanan also murmerring some tunes.. ;-) myself and siva looking at all things happening around .. ;-) enjoying the warmth of the coal..

CARDS TIME -->

After all this Camp leader chased us to our Bed... so we left .. It was 8.00 pm i believe so we came back and started playing Cards,, Well the Cards sessoion started with a Ohh la la .. joke.. ( guys serach in net.. * 18+ pls.. ) We played Bluff and 5 Cards... well all were learners.. so enjoyed .. and then Grp leader asked to light off,, )

COLD NIGHT -->

Night was cold and ppl made my sleep incomplete by Opening door soo often.. when someone opens the door the cool air enters the room and the sleeping bag as well making me very uncomfortable .. I got up more than 6 - 7 times that night and then struggling to get sleep.. thanks to ppl who kept the Bathroom busy all night..
