23rd Dec 2006 --> Fly to Delhi ... and left for Patankote
The day started very early.. early morning 5.00 am .. Well previous night i had kept all the luggage and moring work was to get up and start the travel. Well early morning Ganesh Dropped me in the Airport.. WE had a costly breakfast at the hotel grand ASHOK at the airport... After seeing the ppl in the airport Ganesh was astonished with the kingfisher babs... He was asking me y i did not book in the kingfisher.. Well i said too costly for that :-)
Well after that I went to my Air Sahara counter where i did the checkin of my baggage. Well the weight of the bag was 14.5 kg. So for the whole trip i am going to carry more than 14.5 kg bagage..
The Delhi filghts were delayed in bangalore. Mine was not a direct flight, was via Hyderabad. So our flight started on time. 8.00 am and then landed on hyderabad an hour later. As expected due to the fog in delhi .. flight is delayed in hyderabad. Well after hour there was a good news that Fog has got cleared. Well There was a long queue for the rest room :-) in the flight.. i had to stand for 20 mins in the queue to go to the rest room ..
Well once the flight started from Hyderabad to delhi.. The expected time was 12.30 pm but it went on circling in the air and landed at 1.00 pm .. ;-) this half an hour was irritating .. :-) i don;t know Y.. landed and my Baggage took hell lot of time . and once i got out. it was 1.45 pm.. Walked to the bus stand and asked for the bus to Delhi station. Local ppl said 781 ;-) and the bus arrived in 10 mins time.. this bus travels for long .. First i was trying to c the places and locate if I knew something, but nothing worked out..
The first thing i noticed was a tamil poster .. that tooo political AIADMK . Well on the way few things amazed me.. Place called rama krishna puram .. all tamil ..
Well i reached the station :-) and Its NEW DELHI .. The station is a mess .. totally under renovation. I have to travel to Delhi station..
i saw satyam - iway so thought i coulg blog and leave... SO In the station i am blogging ,,, will add more as and when time permits.

Well after this i went out of the i-way asking way to Delhi (old) station each one giving his own way. I finally Saw the Metro Station.. on seeing that I ask can i reach Delhi Station in Metro. The ans was yes. I walked into the station.
Experience of METRO ride in DELHI
The station looked familiar, well its the same layout which was used in Nagoya, Tokyo. Well Sign maps and the Map and the ticket counter all :-) ... I did not feel i was illterate at least this time. I went to the station guy and asked for the Ticket to chandni cowk. it was 6 Rs ticket. Well I saw a huge queue after that.. well it was for the security check. ;-) same as flight.. but Manual.. (asking to open the bag and all). I was wearing my trekking bag and then other bag the police wala doing machinical job only looked at my small bag and then let me go in. The ticket is the type of COIN. There is a Starting machine on showing it to the machine the token gets activated. (or there is seperate type of coin for every station ;-) .. ) if i had done the design i would have never done this ... so the assumption that he is more intelligent than me .. he would have done the same. Well the coin ticket looked like one New coin of the qutubudin ebak. ( Qutub minar was there.. if he had to come back will think that his coin was copied )..
After getting entry to the station i checked the route map. there were 3 routes and i picked the one i need to go . (Past experience of picking routes at Nagoya in METRO's). Well i had to go to platform 2. It was the carbon copy of the station well few things were missing .. ( Yellow line tiles route for the Blind. and ppl standing in all parts insterd of a single line. Train arrived and me got in and out. On the Chandni cowk station i searched for the exit map... which way to take for the DELHI (OLD ) station.. and got one.. picked my exit route and walked. Well time was now 4.30. ON WHOLE METRO ARE SUPER ..
I walked to the station and searched for the clark room. There that fellow did not allow me to keep the luggage without a lock.. ( funny part is i bought a lock for 5 rs outside and then put it in the Side ZIP which is of now use and then gave .. he happly accepted it.. for all this thamasa it was 5.30 pm. Well So next i walked towards chandni cowk.
On the way I saw the Cycle Ricks. Well i have really forgotten seeing them . well this ppl keeping tons of load and pulling pushing , great.. that too with ppl of heavy loadss.. :-)) i could not capture them in photo .. On total they are real hard working for there living .. most of the time ignoring ppl and just pushing the rick.. like animals..
I reached chandni cowk and walked till Red fort and came back. well on the way to red fort i thought i need to eat. well enter the hotel next to the Gurudwara.. and Next seat happen to be a Sardar.. Well I don't know y i feel most of the Sardar carry lot of pride with them.. Well it was Token system every one need to get the tocken and eat. he did not get and asked the guy to bring. well after 10 mins he made the service guy to bring.. the funny part is on way.. The shop does not serve Samosa and TEA.. ths guy is requesting the guy to bring from the next shop.. the service guy said we dont allow to eat outside food here.. Well he was asking to change the rule only.. (funny part was he involved me in discussion ) thank god Shikha call came ... I started calling her (N/w sucks as i picked and she could not hear.. me both the time.. SO SMS.. ).. :-)) ..
All drama ended and i ate food and left. Again 20 mins in the Clark room .. --> funny anouncement in clark roomm ( Don't keep eatable in the bag and deposit as the Clark room has huge Rats and they will eat ur food. ) . then Left for the platform 1A . It was getting cooler.
