Innovation

Yesterday was in the innovation meeting. :-(. After office i went to a restaurant and having a dinner, a group of people joined me in my Table, Those people are started the discussion over the innovation drive in their company, :). People were  talking how people behave when asked to file IPR's. How the Innovation go in their company. All the places have same way it seems. Is it a gobal bug which has caught all the companies which have prime focus on Innovation and Innovators.

Is Innovation is something which is done by someone individually ? is it a real idea of the mind? I feel its not something new, well its a simple common sense, just because someone has thought first does not mean it is owned by him ?
