This day Last month ( 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd Aug 2009 )
Last few days the series went for a toss due to lazy weekends. :)
19th Aug ->
9.00 - Started from Lamayuru, Breakfast at the same hotel. :)
10.30 From Lamayuru there are two routes one way which make u go round and round, Often refereed as Jalebi Loops.( Jalabi is a north Indian Sweet which is made spiral loops ).
11.00 - Reached Kalshi - No mechanic - 100 km to leh.Have to do ride to Leh.
1.00- Reached Alchi. Gompa was closed for lunch. so did timepass till two. Saw how foreigners were demanded 1500 rs for a stone Mala. :) where as i bought it 150 rs, last time i traveled.
2.15 entered Alchi Gompa. :) saw few really old stuff. The whole place is illuminated with solar power. :)
3.00 Started towards Likir Gompa.
4.00 Reached Likir Gompa and found the view very interesting. :)
6.00 Finally Leh'ed.
7.00 Back in the Telelphone Network. :). For past three days there was no Airtel/Hutch network once you crossed Zozila.
20th Aug -->
Day went bike repair and Permits and relaxing. :) ..
21st Aug -->
Started Early to the Pangong lake. :)
Met a very good and a religious man, Takshi. He owns a Tata Dicor.
Changla pass has always been challenging. :)
Reached Pangong by 3.00 pm. Roamed around took some snaps :) and then back.
I was feeling that pain in my tooth, :) high altitude and water body near the freezing temperature.
22nd Aug ->
Back to Leh.
While coming went to the Religious gathering of Dalai Lama. :) saw him. The whole Leh road was full of vehicles.
Few strange things -> In hotels they said no Liquor as its Dalai Lama is there in Leh.
Almost the Leh was having a Holiday look.
Most beautiful women in their Colorful dress were seen all around Leh.
Came home (In Leh Ajantha Guest house was out home )and relaxed, and Gesmo Restaurant was our food adda.
I want to see this land forzen. :) Panagon i would come back.
